The Kifissia Municipality in collaboration with the company COCO-MAT held Sunday, November 2nd voluntary olive picking in public areas, to strengthen our fellow human beings in need, through social structures of the municipality. The olive gathering of volunteers and young children was a symbolic social action which took place in Municipal property and specifically on Flower Street. Along with the olive harvest was and pruning. Special workshop saw the trees to the time the fruit is more. The olives are transferred to oil mill where slurried and produced oil. Another target of this effort was to acquaint children with nature, the development of ecological and Environmental consciousness but also the presentation of a more traditional smithfield high lifestyle. In action attended by the Mayor of Kifissia George Thomakos, who thanked the company COCO-MAT for cooperation and awarded an honorary plaque to its founder Mr. Nikitas Markopoulos. The response was the action gives us a starting point for new efforts and collective actions.
