Toorak musco olives Village Sculpture Exhibition 2011 in Melbourne, Australia is the work of sculpture contested and exhibited every year. The exhibition, which began 1 to May 31, 2011 is arguably very unique as compared to other exhibition ever held in the case of an art gallery or art page. Toorak Village musco olives Sculpture Exhibition is held annually around Toorak along the way. Interestingly, the works on display are placed at various locations along the way Toorak namely in lots of shops (installation work and individual) that has a window view mirror and on the sidewalk (public sculpture work).
This exhibition has entered into a ten times by showcasing the works of various artists, musco olives including those which had previously won the award in the exhibition. Some of the artists in this exhibition have won such E liza-Jane Gilchrist presents her work titled 'Softcore'. This work shows the artist's manipulation of fabric material with making-shirt design and structure of the spine. Stitches in the bones clothes iron wire inserted as the support structure for these shirts allow it to stand firm have shown neatness and presentation. Red stitching on some parts of the shirt appeared as if the blood vessels makes this work unique is processed by all.
Overall work in this exhibition is very good and there are also some works on display through shop window glass is disturbed by external light reflection rather affect the visual quality of the audience who were in position outside the premises. But the business premises of the employer has provided space for the audience in and observe the work in closer prove that they are also able to cooperate in succeeding this exhibition. This exhibition brings the audience to participate in the program as a treasure hunt in which he invites the audience find works that are exhibited by the map location of works in the exhibition brochure provided free of charge. May the exhibition of this kind of scenario can be adapted in Malaysia as one of the jumpers efforts to elevate the art into the bosom of the people and foreign tourists.
