The young Malala, a Pakistani refugee and children

The young Malala, a Pakistani refugee and children's rights activist monte mobile opened last week the new Library of Birmingham. In the movie you see her speech. A moving story. A story that screams why there should be libraries.
Part of her speech I translated. I think we as libraries Malala may be grateful. For the beautiful words and re-opening your eyes to things you so easily back alive. Thanks Malala. Part of speech Malala Dear sisters and brothers, I start with my personal story. At my school in Swat, it was found that I was a good and obedient student. I got good grades. Except my textbooks I read nine! books from the library. Were "The Alchemist" and "Sophie's World. Two of them I thought I did well, those first fifteen years of my life. But in the past year, after the incident (the attempt on her life), I was taken to Birmingham. When I was discharged from the hospital, I entered a new world, otherwise the society of Pakistan. Here people tell me that they have hundreds! books have read. It does not matter how old they are, everyone seems interested in reading. Some children of six or seven years have read here more than I do. That's why I gave myself an assignment to read a thousand books and thereby strengthen knowledge with myself. Pens and books are the weapons against terrorism. I'm convinced monte mobile that the only way to get world peace through education. Not only teaching our minds but also our hearts and souls. This is the way to our goal: peace and prosperity. Sisters monte mobile and brothers, books are precious and valuable. Some books let you travel monte mobile back centuries and others take you right to the future. In some books you will travel to the depths of your heart and you and another monte mobile trip to the universe. Books keep one feeling alive. monte mobile Aristotiles' still exudes his words. Rumi's poetry will always inspire and Shakespeare's soul will never die. There is to lay books than by saying that even God chose this medium to tell against his people. His message no better way to highlight the importance of In this beautiful library, the largest in Europe, the people of Birmingham learning monte mobile as decades and it will also relieve future monte mobile generations. As once said room without monte mobile books is like a body without a soul. And I say, a city without a library is like a graveyard. monte mobile Sisters and brothers, we must remember that there are 57 million children do not attend school. We must speak out for peace in Nigeria, Syria and Somalia. We need to talk on behalf monte mobile of the children of children monte mobile in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan, leading under terror, poverty, child labor and child trafficking. Help us by using your voice, join action and charity. Help these children to read books. And let's not forget that a book, a pen, a child and a teacher can change the world. For the complete text in English, you can visit the website of the Library of Birmingham.
